Early on in life, I developed a great curiosity about the world and all its wo
nders. My hometown is small, and I still appreciate the beauty of Saskatchewan with its flowing fields and northern lights however growing up, I would often imagine what it would be like to see these from another place. Would they look the same?
My first tentative steps to discover an answer to this question came in the form of a High School trip to London and Paris. From this moment on, I was hooked! Following this experience, I was motivated to enroll in a cultural exchange to The Netherlands. It was during this year abroad that I not only developed my first practical travel experiences of using my money wisely for places I thought I might never have the chance to experience again and how to live like a local!
A motto I took on early in life came from a wise person who told me “the cheapest price isn’t always the best deal”. This is a truth I have lived by for my travels and the travels of family, friends and clients.
From my enrollment and graduation from the Canadian Tourism College in 1999/2000, I have been involved in the travel business. Soon after graduation, I embarked on a 6-year journey working onboard cruise ships. Five of these years was with Princess Cruises, where I explored such exotic places as the South Pacific, Alaska, Europe and South America.
Since 2008, I have been working as a Travel Professional where I am able to highlight my intimate knowledge of the cruising life and ports of call as a Cruise Specialist along with my experiences living in Europe to become a European Rail Specialist.
